Dogs and cats feature prominently throughout these books. When someone takes a shot at her, however, she knows she is getting close to unraveling this mystery. When Trixie finds yet another body, Holly can’t keep her nose out of the investigation. She knows who the characters are and keeps them true to their roots. Pet series cozies aren’t unusual, but Krista Davis does this one exceptionally well. The location is lovely and fills pet lovers with joy. The suspects, victim, and killer are highly entertaining, with everything needed to keep readers coming back for more. The characters are filled with a zest for life that makes reading these books amusing and exciting. This series is delightful from start to finish.
